MELDA BASCAKIR

She was born in 25.11.1964 in Adapazari. She was educated in Mediha Yanee Fashion Coursesfor a short time in 1989.
She started her art education in -Art Academy İstanbul- in 1999.
After that she continued with artists Yuksel Karaman and Mehmet Buket Gureli. (Ada Sanat)She worked on patterns and gravur. Nearly four years of education, she had the oppotunity to work on pottery in BASAD. (union of artists from Bakirkoy). The lessons were given byTaylan Koryurek and Hande Bilten.
Melda Bascakir is also working on traditional-art of hat-and she is transferring pattern to fabric. Those subjects may look different from each other but they all connected with design. Therefore she continues working on them. Melda Bascakir is working together with -Sanat Cemberi- group and helping themwith social responsibility projects. So that she goes to Anatolian villages. She is the founder of this idea. She was educated in interier design and perspective.
